The taste
of Storfjord
Every meal at Storfjord is shaped by the landscape around us – seasonal, local and rooted in the region. From the fire-lit restaurant to the boathouse on the fjord and a lavvo in the forest, the places we eat are as much a part of the story as the food itself.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner
The restaurant
From slow breakfasts to candlelit dinners, the restaurant at Storfjord is a place where seasonal flavours, open-fire warmth, and grand fjord views set the tone throughout the day. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared in the open kitchen and served beside the warmth of the open fire. Honest flavours, carefully sourced ingredients, and a strong sense of place define the dining experience from morning to evening.

At the water's edge
The Boathouse
- Thursday – Saturday
- 18.00–22.00
Just minutes from the hotel, our fjordside Boathouse offers an intimate dining experience around the long table. Here, seasonal menus inspired by the surrounding fjords and nearby farms are prepared over open flames in the open kitchen, creating an atmosphere shaped by firelight, coastal traditions, and the quiet beauty of the Norwegian fjords.

Dining experiences
Seasonal and local delicacies
From forest, farm and fjord
We work closely with local farmers and producers to serve you the best of what the region has to offer. Keeping with the seasons, your plate will always mirror the landscape – whether that's the rich, comforting flavours of a lamb stew on a stormy autumn evening, or fresh strawberries from Valldalen on a summer day. Herbs grow in the greenhouse, blueberries are picked from the forest just beyond the treeline, and honey comes from hives on the property.
Our partners include Havsnø, whose artisanal salt is harvested from the sea at Aukra, and Jacu, a local coffee roastery whose beans find their way into every cup we serve. Every plate a picture of our surroundings.
